The standard zoom setting on a Word document is 100%, which clearly displays on screen the edges of the page and about half way down the page. Although, this depends on your screen size and display settings.
There is a mouse accessible zoom slider in the bottom right hand corner of the Word window. But, without the mouse, you can still zoom in and out by choosing zoom levels.
PressĀ Alt + W, then Q, which gives options of zoom percentages and also gives choices to display page width, text width, one full page or multiple pages. Use Arrow keys to choose and Enter to set the required zoom level.
