Screen reading software packages (such as JAWS, NVDA etc) have a very handy shortcut – Caps Lock + F – which details all the formatting settings at a particular position in a Word document. If you do not use screen reading software, you can get this information in the Reveal Formatting Panel by pressing Shift + F1.
Whether you are a screen reader user or not, you can move to the Reveal Formatting panel by pressing F6, and you can close it by pressing Control + Spacebar, then C.
