A worksheet is a collection of cells within an Excel file. Worksheets allow you to organise and manipulate different sets of data. Each Excel workbook can contain multiple worksheets. For example, you could have a worksheet showing data for each month of the year all within the same Excel file. And if you are creating something like this example, you may want to rename the worksheets to Jan, Feb, Mar, etc. To do this, we are going to revisit our very handy Cells Format menu, where we found the autofit options for rows and columns.
To rename a worksheet, position on the worksheet and pressĀ Alt + H, then O, then R for Rename. Type in the worksheet name and pressĀ Enter.
