Remove Formatting in Gmail

When composing an email message, you may want to paste in some text from another source. Sometimes, this means that a load of formatting comes with it.
But you can set it back to the default text. I.E. the standard text that your email messages are usually written in.
First, select the text (Control + A will select all text in the message).
Then press Control + \, and the text is set to the default.
Once that is done, you can add your own formatting, and we’ll look at this over the next few weeks.
Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox work the same as Google Chrome for removing formatting in Gmail.
