By default, when you add text into a Content placeholder on a slide, it is a bulleted list.
You can stop bullets by pressing Backspace at the beginning of a line.
To create a numbered list as you type, press 1 followed by a full stop.
Then hit the Spacebar followed by the text of your first point.
When you press Enter, the next line will automatically start with 2, so you can type the text of your second point.
If you want to stop a numbered list, press Backspace.
You can go back to a bulleted list by typing an asterisk (Shift + 8).
Again, hit the Spacebar followed by the test of your next point.
When you press Enter, the next line will automatically start with a bullet.
Creating a numbered list or a bulleted list in this way, as you type, also works in Microsoft Word.
