First Letter Navigation in File Explorer

The quickest way to move to a file or folder in File Explorer is to type the first letter of the file/folder name, if you know it. This is called First Letter Navigation.
Press Windows key + E to open File Explorer, then type the letter and focus will move to the first file/folder beginning with that letter.
If you don’t get there straight away, just keep typing the letter, and the focus will move to each item beginning with that letter.
It also works on the Desktop to move quickly to different icons. Press Windows key + D to get to the Desktop, then type the letter.

You can even press the first two letters quickly in succession to get there even quicker. And it works with numbers and other characters too.
