File Explorer is your digital filing cabinet. It takes you to your main folders and the files within them, and it enables you to organise them however you see fit.
To open File Explorer, press Windows + E.
Here you can use the Arrow keys to move around the files or first letter navigation to bring you straight to a particular bunch of files.
PressĀ Enter to open a file or folder.
To go up a level in your folders, press Backspace.
If you press Backspace straight away in File Explorer, it takes you to your Desktop space. In fact, if you keep pressing Backspace from wherever you are in File Explorer, you will end up in the Desktop folder. Giving you another way to access your Desktop space.
