Draft Messages in Gmail

When composing messages, replies, forwards etc, the message is saved every few seconds as you edit. Even if you press Escape when composing, or jump back to the Inbox, it is saved in your Drafts folder.
If you don’t want to save as a draft, while in the body of the message, press Control + Shift + D to discard.
The Gmail shortcut to get to the Drafts folder is GD, and it behaves the same as the Inbox for accessing messages.
Press GI to go back to the Inbox.
If you use a screen reader, you may need to switch the “virtual cursor” off so you can use these Gmail shortcut keys. Press Insert (or Caps Lock) + Z in JAWS or Insert (or Caps Lock) + Space in NVDA and Narrator.
Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox work the same as Google Chrome for handling Draft messages in Gmail.
