To delete a file or a set of files, first select the file(s).
Then press the Delete key or Control + D. This will send the file(s) to the Recycle Bin folder, where they can be restored, if needed.
To permanently delete a file, press Shift + Delete key.
Note: The Delete key is in the six pack of keys on a standard keyboard, which are above the Arrow keys. The Delete key is the bottom left of the six keys. On laptops, the Delete key is usually top right of the keyboard but this can vary from make to make.
