Creating a New Document in Microsoft Word

To create a new document, simply open the Word application.
An easy way to open any app is to press the Windows key, then start typing the name of the app. If you start typing “word”, once you see/hear “Word App”, you can press Enter to open the application.
By default, Word will open and take you to the Start Screen, just press Enter again for a blank document.
If you are already in the Word application, you can press Control + N to create a new document.
