Select your cells first, copy with Control + C, or cut them with Control + X, and then move to the destination cell(s) and paste them with Control + V.
But there is a very handy shortcut if you just want to paste formats, or values only, or even just get the same column widths!
Select your cells as usual, press Control + C to copy, move to your destination and then, instead of using Control + V to paste, press Control + Alt + V. The Paste Special List appears and you can chose what you want to paste across to your new cells. Use the Arrow keys to choose the option, then press Enter to perform the Paste Special.
