There is a feature in Word called Format Painter. Visually, it is a little paintbrush icon on the Home ribbon. It allows you to copy just the formatting of some text and then apply it to some other text in your document using the mouse. Luckily, for non-mouse users, there are shortcuts to do this as well.
First position on the text with the style that you like and press Control + Shift + C to copy the formatting of the text. Then select the text that you want to apply the style to, and press Control + Shift + V.
This can save a lot of time messing with formatting settings and can help make your document more visually consistent.
