Composing Messages in a New Tab with Gmail

When you create a new message, the composing is done in the same Gmail tab.
But there is an option to compose a message in a separate tab, allowing you to switch back to your Inbox while writing your message, if you need to.
To create a message in a new tab, press D.
This opens the new tab and you can work away on your message.
Use Control + Tab key to switch back and forth with your original Gmail tab.
Use Control + Enter, as usual, to send the message when you are finished. The message will be sent and the tab will close.
Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox work the same as Google Chrome for creating messages in a new tab with Gmail.
