Closing Microsoft Excel

To close an Excel spreadsheet, also known as a workbook, press Control + W or Control + F4.
This only closes the spreadsheet, not the application.
To close Excel completely, press Alt + F4.
Make sure you save your changes before closing by pressing Control + S.
These shortcuts are the same for closing files in all Microsoft Office Apps.
And the shortcut Alt + F4 is the one sure way to close any application.
