When composing a message in Gmail, you may want to adjust the size of the text.
In Gmail, there are four settings for text size: small, normal, large and huge.
To increase the text size, press Control + Shift + Plus sign.
To decrease the text size, press Control + Shift + Minus sign.
Remember to first, select the text using the Shift key and the Arrow keys, or press Control + A to select all text in the message.
And if you are not happy with the formatting, select the text and press Control + \ to set the text back to the default.
Note that these text size shortcuts are different to the shortcuts Control + Plus sign and Control + Minus sign, which will actually increase/decrease the view of everything on a Web page.
Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox work the same as Google Chrome for changing text size in Gmail. However, if you use a screen reader, Google Chrome seems to give the best indication of formatting at this point.

Hi Sharon,
Thanks for GMAIL shortcuts.
Since changing font color and font background is such a pain when using it often, and especially when changing both the font color and font background color simultaneously on intermittent words within the same message, Any such shortcuts although I am pretty sure the answer is no, none exist.
Simply wanted to confirm.
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill,
Yes you are right, there is no easy shortcuts for this.
But I find it useful to use Control + Shift + C to copy the formatting from some text, and then press Control + Shift + V to paste just the formatting to some other text.
Hope that helps.
