When copying or moving files, it may be handy to have the source folder and destination folder open in different windows or different tabs. So you can copy/cut between windows/tabs.
To open a new File Explorer window, press Control + N. And switch between windows with Alt + Tab.
To open a new File Explorer tab in the same File Explorer window, press Control + T. And switch between tabs with Control + Tab.
File Explorer windows behave the same and File Explorer tabs behave the same as tabs in a Web browser. Follow this link for more information on Web tabs.
