Pressing Windows + Up Arrow will maximise an application (makes it fill the screen).
Pressing Windows + Down Arrow will make an application smaller than the screen (also known as Restore). Pressing Windows + Down Arrow again will minimise the application.
Pressing Windows + Left Arrow will move the application to the left of the screen, and show the other open applications as thumbnails (press Escape to remove the thumbnails display).
Pressing Windows + Right Arrow will move the application to the right of the screen, and show the other open applications as thumbnails (press Escape to remove the thumbnails display).
If you use more than one monitor, Windows + Left or Right Arrow will move an application onto the next screen.
