Keyboard Shortcuts

These shortcuts work with Google Docs whether on a PC or Chromebook.

Create a new Google Document (in Google Drive): C, then arrow down to Google Docs and press Enter.

Switch Tabs in Google Chrome: Control + Tab.

Switch on Screen Reader Support (only needed once for a Google account): Control + Alt + Z.

Switch off JAWS Virtual Cursor: Insert + Z.

Rename Google Document: Alt + F, Arrow down to Rename and press Enter, then type filename (or accept automatic filename) and press Enter.

Access other Google Docs Menus (such as Insert and Format): Alt + F then arrow right. And arrow down through options on chosen menus.
